As seniors we were looking for a bungalow as the stairs in our two story were becoming an issue that wasn’t going to get better. Very few builders seem to be offering bungalows and existing homes that were listed would need a lot of renovations. We found Edgewater advertising bungalows and we drove by and parked by the foundation of one that had been started. Wayne, the owner, was driving by and stopped, introduced himself and then showed us one in the framing stage as well as their show home. By the end we were sold on their product and felt good about who we were dealing with. The process following this, choosing finishes, cabinets, flooring, etc. went very smoothly with the help of Wayne, Susan, and Brittany. We also decided to have them finish our basement. Making a huge purchase like this can be stressful but we found the whole team to be great to work with. We took possession late March and were immediately impressed and very happy with our choices and how the home was built. Since then we have had great dealings with Dax and Scott as well as any of the trades people we have met. Our son who is a plumber/gas fitter of course had to check out the mechanical room when he visited. He saw the gas lines and said “they use the expensive stuff”! One thing that impressed me when I first saw the house in the framing stage was that studs were on 16” centers. I didn’t think builders did that anymore. Most went to 24” to save costs. All said, we are very happy with our decision to build with Edgewater and have no problem recommending them.

I usually do not write reviews but our experience with Edgewater was so great that I decided to write one. We highly recommend Edgewater to anyone looking for a well-built home with excellent customer service! We would definitely buy a home from them again!

Buying process: We saw houses in the area built by other builders and we didn't see the same quality as in an Edgewater home. Some houses looked nice but the difference in the details/quality was very noticeable. We would like to thank Wayne for answering all our questions, for providing us with flexibility with dates/ deadlines during the buying process and for ultimately making it possible for us to purchase our dream home.

Possession day and walk through: On possession day, Susan and Dax welcomed us and provided us with lots of helpful information, a very detailed walk through around the house as well as a binder with important and useful information on how to take care of the house, contact numbers for services, etc.

Additional fixes: during the first few days living in our new home, we noticed some small deficiencies and contacted Edgewater. Dax and Scott came in and addressed every single one of them, fixing on the same day or setting up an appointment for later. Everything was dealt with. They are extremely efficient, professional and also friendly. They are outstanding! Two thumbs up! Thank you!

E-mail and communication: excellent customer service! Every time we needed anything, they were responsive and provided help, information and solved any issues in a timely manner.

Finally, buying a house is such a challenging process with lots of variables... We tried to eliminate as many variables as possible by choosing a great quality home. The whole team at Edgewater is incredible. This was our first home and the experience could not have been any better. When we first met Wayne, we were still many months out from being ready to purchase, but he still took the time to educate us on the process and what to look out for when looking for a new home. Once we decided to purchase with Edgewater the experience was great from start to finish. You can tell they really care about delivering quality homes and the final product blew away all of our expectations. They went through all of the options in depth with us and made sure we were happy with everything we chose. The house was even completed 2 months early. We are moved in now, and they are still taking their time to make sure everything is perfect for us. There was a large snowstorm that happened when we first moved in and they have even taken time out of their day to clear snow for us. It was a pleasure to work with Wayne, Susan, and Dax. They design beautiful homes. After a single meeting with them we were ready to start building. They discussed our options and helped us pick out the best LOT, with the perfect sized home for our little family. They were very knowledgeable and professional. Once everything was in order the process went very quickly. From breaking ground to the final details, they were available at a moment's notice for any questions. Dax was very attentive to every detail as well. Brittany was our interior designer, and she was such a great help to make sure our new home flowed well. She had some amazing ideas and we ended up using her mud room design! Even if there is a bump in the road, they are right there with ideas to help solve the issue quickly. As we all know building a house can come with quite a bit of stress and they were always there to help keep it running as smoothly as possible. "If you have been thinking about "should I go with Edgewater?" Question no more. We first met Susan in -40°C weather looking at framed homes and only having pictures to envision our future home. We visited many other prospects during this time, but honestly it was a stressful housing market in 2021. Fast forward to September with our names on the dotted line, purchasing our first home.
